Child Profiles
These profiles were written by the manager of Sanctuary Home in India, P. Isaac. He has met each child personally. Although Isaac's English is not perfect, we have left his descriptions exactly as he made them - raw, personal, and heartbreaking. If you need any convincing that these precious children are desperate for help, read their stories.
1.SRINU (sibling is Sambaiah)
Here is a boy by name Srinu.P, my heart is very much moved to speak about this
boy and his brother. His father was a robber. Once policemen caught him and
put him in the jail. Due to torture in the lockup he suddenly died. Condition
was so pitable that his mother cannot feed him and his brother. His mother put
him and his brother in a small hotel to clean the dishes. They were not able to
get adjusted presently they are on the streets. One of our church members
pleaded me if I can help them in any way. For your kind information they were
not Christians, his mother was attending in the Church after her husband passed
away. But recently she too was dead in accident. I specially appeal your good
sleves that this boy with his brother may be brought to your generous means as
your kindness influences them. In this regard they need your cordial
co-operation to this boy and his brother Sambaiah.
2.CHAMONDESWARI
May I bring to your kind notice a story about a girl who’s name
is Chamondeswari. On one bad morning her father had been to the sea on fishing
as he was a fisher . Due to roughness in the sea he lost his life. After few
days his body was found at the sea coast. Later his family ran in to a worsened
condition. Her mother could not feed her one of my closest friend requested me
whether a means is sought for he. May I therefore put forth an appeal before
your goodself to see that your generous hands are involved so that he may be led
better and prosperous life through your sponsorship.
3. JANSIRANI
I am very much worried about this girl who’s name is Jansirani.
Her father was a ricshaw puller he died in an accident while he was in a heavey
tropic. Her mother was working in few houses as a women servant. This girl was
unable to have her food with her mother as the means was insufficient she
personally requested me whether I can help this girl. With heavy burden in my
heart I urge all of your good selves to bless this girl with a bright and better
future through your kind sponsorship.
4.DEVARAJ
The situation is so grievous that I cannot speak about this boy. His father
while traveling in the train slipped and died his mother too died due to cancer.
They both were the church members. He was being looked after by aged couple who
were the parents of his father. The aged man was a rickshaw puller recently
died. The old women could not look after the boy. Because of her poverty and
inability so that presently his condition is so pathetic as he is on the roads.
One of our believer got contact with him and he gave me his information. I
personally went and found him pitiable in this regard I humbly urge your good
selves to make his future successful through your kind sponsorship.
5. MAHESH BABU
This is the pathetic condition which we cannot get words for description. When
this boy was two years old his mother died out of pneumonia. Later his father
got married and this boy was left in merciless condition as the where abouts of
his father after marriage with some one are so far not known. Since that time he
was eating in one of his mother’s relations house. He was keeping the cows and
cattles. To tell you the truth he was in a such bonded labour, where our eyes
could not believe the act. He was not even allowed to go to the school. By cook
or hook he was managed to go to the school on a pitiable condition. He now is in
seventh grade. One of our preachers spoke to him. This boy expressed anxiety for
he wants to get educated. The preacher guided us long back after many prayers to
the Lord. God gave us an opportunity of starting Orphanage where he is found
room. In this regard we whole heartedly urge your good selves to extend your
warmest co-operation as a sponsor to this boy, which will enable him to
translate all his dreams in to practical means. So that he may become a best
citizen rather a model citizen with his bright and prosperous future.
6.NAGAPRASAD
Here is a boy by name Nagaprasad, it’s a very very sad episode that his mother,
father younger brother met with an accident and died. Poor thing that the
villagers used to feed him insufficiently. He used to collect few small fishes
and dries them and dispose. Only few pennys once in a week that could not
quench his hunger. Villagers particularly requested me repeatedly to do
something for him. As our congregation is available in that village. I spoke
personally with him. I understood that he is very anxious to continue his
studies. In this regard I appeal your good selves to experience your kindness
through generous sponsorship so that he may become a real Christian and future
may be prosperous
7.DURGA
Here is a girl by name Durga it gives me paying as I speak to your good selves
about this girl. Her mother was not keeping her character safe rather she was
illegal. Due to that reason her father avoided mother and left this girl.
Durga is very enthusiastic. As I was preaching in palem (village). The
villagers requested me whether I can do anything to this girl. I met and spoke
to her she was too clever but the condition of the girl was very unkind.
Sometimes she is given meal in the village sometimes she lives with empty
stomach. For your kind information she is not even having proper clothes to
cover her body. On seeing that condition I bought one dress and gave her. Your
good sleves also seen on this picture. I was pleased by seeing her smiling face
at that time. In this regard request your good sleves to see that her face
always with smiling effect through your kind sponsorship.
8.REETU PARNA (sibling is Manova)
Here is a so very pathetic story as I can not find words to bring to your kind
notice. With silent mourning in my heart I come close to you. A girl who’s

9.MANOVA (sibling is Retu Parna)
Here is a so very pathetic story as I can not find words to bring to your kind
notice. With silent mourning in my heart I come close to you. A boy who’s name

10.SONNY
With my broken heart I would like to narrate the pathetic condition of this
girl. The family was living below the poverty line. Her father was a vegetable
seller. while going to the rural area on a bicycle in the early morning, thick
fog could not give him the way. His bicycle later collided with a truck as a big
bag of vegetables on the bicycle truck hit him since he could not see the way .
Instantly he breathed his last. Her mother could not look after her as she was
growing sickness. currently the condition of the girl is having no food, no
proper dress, going door to door to clean the vessels but the venture became
futile. For your kind information they neither have house nor proper food. What
ever the mother earns not able to meet even the house rent. Here I urge your
good selves to make this girl's future as prosperous one through your generous
sponsorship .
11.RAMESH
I found now what’s in my heart to approach your good selves about this boy’s
condition. He was infact a boy of unfortune as is both the parents died out of
HIV. Father attacked HIV after few years of his birth. Later his mother was
influenced as per recent test the boy is found HIV negative currently his
condition so merciless he has no place to hide himself in one of is relatives
tatched house is laying down on its outside edge. In this regard I personally
urge your good selves to involve with his future and see that he is very much
considered to have sponsorship.
12.RAJESH
We are very much grieved to let your good selves know about the condition of
this boy. This boy was found in a helpless stage. His father was a drunkened
more over. He was victimed of the habit.. Due to that reason this boy’s mother
left his father and found her own way. They don’t whether she is lilving or
not. But relatives could not take care of this boy. He was lying in the
streets collecting the garbages but was also going on the mercy on the school
teachers. Later I was given his address through one of our church friends. On
a hard struggle we could get him over here. One more regrettable thing that
this boy was working in a liquor shop to clean the glasses for his fathers
selfishness sake. He was mercilessly being beaten sometimes was being kicked
while escaping we could find him in the railway station. I am praying for this
boy so that he may have sponsership. In this regard we urge your goodselves to
consider him and see that he is sponsored with. Thereby his life will be very
much bettered. This appeal is made humbly before your goodselves.
13.SATISHBABU (sibling is
Pavankumar)
I am deeply moved to bring this story to your good selves. This Satish babu
with his brother currently on the roads. His father 5 years back left the

I get know what’s as the situation is very grevious. His father died out of
cancer, mother could not take care of his food and other things. He developed
urinary trouble but, surgical intervention set him right. Condition is so
pathetic in which he is left. One of my friends gave his address. I
personally found that is on the street. May I therefore urge your goodselves
to come forward to make his future better and prosperous through your kind
sponsorship.
16.SAMSON (sibling is
Solman)
We regret to inform the pathetic condition of this boy so that your good self
may have an attention in his carrer. His father who was a late an adict of
drugs and drinking. He borrowed money from so many people for that menial cause
and committed suicide emotionally. His mother was working in the fields earning
but was not at all sufficient for this boy and his brother. Later she grew sick
and bed ridden. Condition of he and his brother became worst. They were
roaming in the streets and urging for the food. They faild to get food. Later
one of the elders of the church where they live in guided us to consider this
two boys. We could get them over here in this particular regard may we whole
heartedly request your good selves to see that this boy is sponsored to become
better citizen in future.
17. MALATHI
Please see that the pathetic condition of this girl who’s name
is Malathi her father developed HIV after 4 years of her birth. He died due to
lack of proper treatment. Her mother too is bed ridden. Any time AIDS may claim
her life. In this merciless condition this girl was found when I was on gospel
tour. When I personally visit their thatched house I got no words in such a way
I was grieved. There was an old lady with them who could not do any thing by her
self. In this particular regard I request all of your good selves to place your
kind hands on her better future and extend your love through your sponsorship.
18.NAGA RAJU
I really get no words to explain the unkind condition of this boy by name Naga
Raju Palakollu. He used to stay in a village which was in full of disputes.
Rivalry, caste system dominated the village. In one incident he was stabbed due
to above said reasons. By the time mother was so ill. Now her health condition
is further deteriorated. No hope of her survival. In this hard situation he has
been addicted of begging. When I was going on the road I could find him in
unkind situation. Elders of the village requested me to take of this boy. With
grateful heart that I am doing His work I am very much moved to keep him in SH.
In this regard with heart of humbleness I appeal your goodselves so that he may
be sponsored with through which his future may turn into a prosperous one.
19.SOLMAN (sibling is Samson)
We regret to inform the pathetic condition of this boy so that your good self
may have an attention in his carrer. His father who was a late an adict of

20.JEVANBABU
I am very much upset due to the merciless condition of this boy. Therefore I
narrate his living condition. For your kind information father died out of HIV
which his mother influenced so her life is not guaranteed as she is battling
with death. As he was tested, result came as HIV negative. This boy was found
in a pitiable condition presently living in one of his relations tatched house
by the side of the road people who are taking care of him got their own children
thereby he was neglected I personally urge your good selves could come forward
to make his life a model to many with his prosperous future through your
generous means of sponsership to him.
21.NAVKIRAN
My hear bleeds as I explained the pathetic condition of this boy his father was
mentally effected. Later became panic in other words psycho. One day the
family was saddened through his departure from his house so far the where
about’s of him are not at all known. It is hard on mother’s life to feed this
boy. She was working and working but could not earn sufficient food. If at all
one women works in the field on a day hardly she gets one dollar. Later she grew
sick and found helpless in other words almost of bed ridden. I am able to find
this boy through one of the preachers connected to me. I personally went to the
village I found him living in the street situation broke my heart I urge your
good selves in this regard to consider this boys bright future to become
faithful Christian to see that is sponsored with.
22.YESUBABU
We are deeply grieved to let your good selves to know about his boy as the situation his such that we can get know words to describe his data after this boy was borned his father due to developed HIV due to illegal means. That influenced his mother. As per recent check up is found HIV negative. Poor boy who lost parents and found merciless. He was not at all been looked after by anybody in the village he lived in. In other words he was totally neglected. One of out preachers hope about this boy’s unhygienic condition. I personally went and saw this boy and could not stop my flow of tear. Some how are other he was brought over here. I personally urge your good selves to involve with this boy’s brighter and prosperous future through your kind sponsorship.
23. GOPI P.
We can get no words to describe the condition of the boy how he was. His mother
went to a tank to wash the clothes, there she slipped into the tank, sunk and
died . Father of this boy got again married. His stepmother developed a negative
attitude against this boy, the torture he experienced had no bounce. He was
with out food found half nacked, no place to sleep in that condition of
mercilessness he was struggling. He was kept in a bonded labour but Govt.
reacted and released him from the child labour. But he could not find shelter
even not put up in the school. one of our friends spoke to us about the
pathetic condition of this boy. on hard struggle we got him over here. We
specially urge your good selves to make this boy a better citizen of future
asperations through your generous sponsorship. it is also our anxiety that he
must see happiness in his face.
24.PRAKASH
I am very much grievious to narrate this pathetic condition to your good
selves. He lost his father during Tsunami as he was fishing in the sea. He
used to be in the sea for 3,4 days on the fisihing. This Tsunami left agoni in
the family. Generally his mother used to accompany the father while fishing but
what productive matter is that time she did not accompany him. Thereby she is
alive. She grew sickness in her body that made the boy hungry. He is presently
found to be merciless. One of believers made me to go close to him. Therefore
he was considered to be with us. I requested your good selves to sponser this
boy to turn his future prosperous which will anable to become a best citizen.
25.BUDDU
Here is a girl by name Buddu it is very pathetic to say she lost both parents.
Iam not aware of the cause of they death. Different speculations prevail in
this particular matter. Its also so unkind for over looked by the surrounding
people over there for your kind information her mother’s parents did look after
her sometime now they cannot as they are grown old. One of her relatives
contacted me which a personally went and found her how she is. She has several
aspirations to be met through in this regard I bring this girl to your kind
consideration so that she may be blessed with bright to your kind sponsership.
26.NAGAVIJAY
Here is a boy by name Nagavijay his merciless story brought
before your goodselves . His father was ferocious, possessed with all sorts of
evil habits such as drinking licker, chain smoking, chewing the tobacco his
mother died out of cancer. He was very rough. After some time his father
pretended as if he was kind to him and brought him to tenali to the bustand by a
bus from his native place and left him over there the above said story was
narrated by this boy .After spending some time in the bustand in an unkind
situation one lady who has been sweeper in the bustand took him one preacher to
which church she attends that preacher contacted me whether I can find a means
for him. In this regard my humble appeal all of your goodselves so that he may
be found generosity through your sponsorship with which his life may be led with
prosperous future.
27. SANDYARANI
It is a pitiable story this girl bears who’s name is Sandyarani
. Her father was murdered by his neighbors due to disputes. Later her mother
left this girl with her relations and got married again and disappeared. I
cannot explain this girl’s unfavorable condition. May I in this regard urge
you’re your good selves to consider her unkind situation and see that she is
blessed with prosperous future through your kind sponsorship.
28.RAMYA
May I bring to your kind notice a pathetic episode of this girl. Her father was
so merciless as well as ferocious. He used to beat his wife very roudly due to
his laziness to earn food. He even used to torture her to get food for him.
Due to over drunken condition he developed heart attack. All of a sudden he
died. After becoming widow she has been working hard which could not meet her
sufficient food. In this regard she personally approached me to accommodate her
daughter. I was very much ached by this incident and decided to give her room
in SH. I whole heartedly request your goodselves to see this girl is sponsored
to make her life better prosperous.
29.DIVYA
Here is a girl by name Divya. She missed her father, the reasons are not at all
known. Her mother used to work in the fields but the earnings were
insufficient, they were not able to have proper food. Day to day their
condition became unkind but her mother is so faithful Christian. When I visiting
the congregation on one auspicious day mother of that girl personally requested
me to keep the girl in a way that she can lead a better life. But she is very
clever and intelligent as well, in this regard I approach your goodselves urging
that she should have progress future by your kind way of your involvement
through your sponsorship.
30. SRILAKSHIMI (sibling is Jevan Babu)
Here is a girl by name Srilakshmi who is having a brother elder to her, lost her
parents in an accident while proceeding to a wedding service. They had a good
reputation in the church. His father’s mother was looking after them for
sometime. But she too died out of hear stroke. But father’s father who is
alive not able to feed the two children they thrown out the house the condition
of them was so in generous they used to beg door to door. But what they got was
in sufficient. The responsible persons in the church pittied on them and
connected me while preaching the word of God. I spoke to them personally as I
was hurt by their living condition. In this regard I urge your good self
prayerfully to see that your auspicious hands are involved to make them the best
citizens of tomorrow with their prosperous future.
31.NAGABABU
Here is a boy by name Nagababu who’s story sounds unkind he lost his father
because of Janduice (disease). His mother committed suicide as a appendicities
struggled her. she could not find relief which made her to die. This boy was
left as an orphan. He was living as a bonded labour in one house. On hard
struggle used to go the school. But slowly he was unsuccessful in his venture.
One fine day he ran away from the house. One of our friends found him in the
railway station while collecting the garbage. He informed about the condition
of the boy. I personally went and spoke to him he was so happy if he is provided
a means for his life. In this regard prayerfully I urge your good sleves to see
that his life is blessed with prosperous future through your generous
sponsorship.
32.REBAKHA
Here is a girl by name Rebakha who’s condition is very unkind. Her father died due to severe heart stroke but her mother could not feed her and kept her as a servant in one house. The people tortured very much by keeping fire touches on her body she could not bare the persecution and escaped from the house. One of our church persons found her condition was so miserable and contacted us I personally went and spoke to her she expressed her readiness to be with us. No she is almost on the streets in a different village from the village she stayed. She used to beg near the hotels and the shops. In this regard may I urge your good selves to see that she is found comfort through your generous means of sponsorship which will enable her to lead a prosperous future. I deeply hope I must see her as a true child to Christ.
33.RAMBABU
I am very much moved to speak about this boy by name Ranbabu Oleti. He lost his
Mum & Dad in an accident. There was nobody to look after him. His grand parents
were very old, who could not feed him. He was in so merciless condition going
door to door to beg food. While I was on gospel tour one of our church members
requested me in tears to help this boy. I was very much grieved in my heart and
considered this boy to keep in Sanctuary Home. In this regard I urge your
goodselves to sponsor this boy to be a best citizen of tomorrow.
34.BABBLU
I am really with heart of sadness would like to left your goodselves know the
pitiable condition of this boy, whose name is Bablu. SK. In fact his father was
hard worker who developed cancer. Due to lack of proper treatment as they are
living in below the line of poverty. He suffered a lot and died. After that
this boy’s mother became very illegal [a prostitute] and threw him away. His
condition can not be described how merciless it was. One of my friends with
heart of mourning he lead me to have this boy. As my heart was very much boiled
I took a step to keep him in our SH. In this regard I humbly appeal all of your
goodselves to consider this boy and sponsored him so that the life so far he
lived may be vanished and may lead him to have a better prosperous future.
35.JEVAN BABU (sibling is Srilakshmi)
Here is a boy by name Jevanbabu who is having a sister younger to him lost his

May I let your good selves know that I am very much grieved
about the story of the boy who’s name is Sheshuvardanarao. His father was alrigt
for some time, later in an accident he became handicapped he also developed
night blind ness. After seeing these things his mother left him and his father
and ran away from them through an illegal means. His father is not at all in a
position that he cannot feed him as he cannot get fed by him. One of the Bible
women led me to see them really I am saddened by the unkind situation. May I in
this regard appeal for this boy so that your good selves may involve with his
better future through your loving sponsorship.
37. TIRUMALO RAO
I am very much grieved to let your goodselves know the pathetic condition of this boy. December 26, 2004 which caused extensive damage and shook the entire world i.e Tsunami. It was so very grievous that his father was fishing in the sea Tsunami hit the coast. He was vanished alive in other words body too was not seen. Mother from then onwards has been leading a miserable life. I quite often visit that village to evangelize people. This boy’s mother belongs to our congregation in that village. After having seen the merciless condition of that boy my heart was broken and spoke to his mother, she express her readiness to put this boy in the children home. Condition was such that his mother can not provide sufficient food. In this regard I urge your goodselves to see that this boys future is prosperous and progress through your kind sponsorship.
I am very much hurt by this girl story who’s name is
Tirapathammma. Her parents were labourers working in the fields while going in a
truck to anther place to work over there this truck collided with another truck
and died both of them along with ten more persons. she was put up in her grand
mothers house. Since they are grown old she was found merciless rather unkind.
One of the village elders whom I know well guided me to see her I cannot explain
how she was. May I in this regard urge your goodselves to see that she is in the
grace of the Lord with her better future through kind sponsorship.
39.BHAVANI
A girl by name Bhavani occupied in my heart and giving me an opportunity to
narrate her story. When she was 4 years baby she lost her father due to HIV.
Recently HIV checkup was conducted and wife was proved HIV positive but the
girl was not effected. She is HIV negative. One of our preachers found her and
took care of her for sometime but she was proved very faithful in the Lord. She
used to sing and glorify the Lord and also playing with children actively.
Preacher due to the poverty he could not feed her he came in contact with me and
urged whether she may be found to be favoured. In this regard I personally urge
all of your good selves to see that her life with bright and prosperous future
is carried through by generous sponsorship.
40.SHIRISHA
Here is a girl by name Sirisha. She lost her mother due to braintumer. Father
again married. But the step mother illtreated her, tortured and troubled her.
Poor think that she is not having siblings connected neighther to father nor to
mother to look after her mother. One of the take carerers of the children in
the school led us to see her a personally spoke to her she expressed her
troubles and paid interest in her bright future. May I look to your generous
hands to sponsor this child so that may become a faithful Christian with her
progress future.

Prabhakar's situation is a little different. His mother, Victoria, is the cook for Sanctuary Home. She and her son were destitute before she came to work at the home. Prabhakar is already living in Sanctuary Home, but still needs a sponsor to provide for his needs. Of course, we were unwilling to hire Victoria without taking him in as well - so he became Child #42. Although this child is fortunate enough to have his mother, and she is now fortunate enough to have a place to live and a job, he would still welcome letters and the friendship and encouragement from a sponsor. Like the other Sanctuary Home children, before he came to live there he was unable to attend school, did not have a home, and often did not have enough to eat. His mother is a widow, a hard worker, and a Christian.
43. LEVI
Here is a girl by name Levi of who’s merciless condition
grieves my heart very much. Her father left her mother after two children were
born . So far nobody knows where he is. Her mother feeds the two children in
other words Levi and her younger sister. She goes door to door for minimum
labour to earn food for her and children. When ever her mother comes to the
area of S.H she follows her mother and used to stay in S.H for day or two and
used to play with children . During the auspicious visit of Sis.Amanda and Bro.
Ray , Sis. Ruth to us her mother urged very much to see that Levi is
admitted in S.H. Sis. Amanda her goodself moved very much and permitted us to
admit her. I am very much grateful on our part as she is allowed in to S.H
family.
44. DILIP
Here is a boy by name Dilip, who is 9 years old . As we were
visiting slum area along with Sis.Amanda , Bro. Ray & Sis. Ruth we found this
boy in the slum area. we really do not know what his flashback is. According to
him, his parents missed him in the train. After that he was helpless and going
door to door to beg food .He was sitting under the tree with hungry stomach and
urging all of us for food. He also showed where he stayed and also showed his
fishing rod. He was very much curious and expressed his enthusiasm to get
educated. Sister was very much moved and allowed him to be put up in S.H. Now
the boy is doing well by God’s grace. we are extremely happy with his presence.
Thereby we are thankful to Sis.Amanda.
45.VENKATESH (sibling is Hanuma)
Here is pathetic story with which I am very much worried.
During Sis, Amanda visit to us we were very privileged to visit slum area. We
found a hut there covered with old clothes in which a mother and two children
by name Venkatesh, Hanuma stay in. Sis. Amanda was very much moved on
considering their merciless condition. We were told that the father of above
said two children died out of T.B. We also found she was leading her life by
cleaning dishes in a small hotel. She was in a condition that she could not even
earn minimum food for her there by struggle for food two children cannot be
described. By God’s grace the two children are able to find accommodation in S.H
through Sis.Amanda involvement. We are indeed grateful to her as she allowed
them to have a better life.
46. HANUMA (sibling is Venkatesh)

47. TEJA
Here is a little boy by name Teja who is 6 years old . His
father fell down and died while drawing tadi from the tree. His mother left this
boy and found an illegal way by marrying some one. The boy’s condition was very
pathetic. No body could give him food. A woman from the village where the boy
stay came to my house to wash clothes. Sometimes she used to give him little
food when she was in the Village. She used to bring him over here for food. Just
like that he was brought over here when Sis. Amanda was in our house .Rajanikanth
explained the merciless condition of this boy to Sis. Amanda and to Bro, Ray.
They were very much moved in tears. Sis.Amanda was very warm towards this boy
and brought him in. She permitted us to give him room in S.H. I am very
grateful to Sis.Amanda in this regard. Now the boy is alright forgot all his
wounds to his heart and doing well with the S.H children.
48. SAI KUMAR
Here is a boy by name Sai Kumar whose story grieves us very
much. During Sister’s auspicious visit to us we got a privilege to go for picnic
to one of the beaches by name Suryalanka beach. When S.H children were taking
food in the beach we found this boy asking us for food .We gave him little
food. According to his grandmother, he lost his both the parents. She was in the
beach doing a business of selling dry fish. She expressed her inability for she
cannot feed him and she is not even having proper house to stay in. Sister was
very much informed about the pathetic condition of this boy. Sister took out the
picture of this boy and asked him to stay in touch with me. After Sister’s
departure from us to U.S she asked us to keep him in S.H . We are very much
grateful to Sis.Amanda for permitting the boy to be with S.H children. Now the
boy is very much happy with other children of S.H.
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27
