  • Isaac and Mary returned safely to India

Nov 2008

  • Isaac and Mary came to the U.S. for Sanctuary Home fundraising
  • We had a cookout to honor our sponsors
  • Sanctuary Home set up and participated in the Abilene ArtWalk

Oct 2008

  • Mary recovered from fibroids
  • Many prayers were lifted up for Isaac and Mary's visa approval

Sept 2008

  • Sanctuary Home took in twelve new children
  • Video clips from our visit to Tenali were posted on YouTube

Aug 2008

  • Sanctuary Home raised roughtly $1000 through garage sales and eBay sales
  • We made a huge prayer effort for all of the children choosing to leave Sanctuary Home.
  • We gave praise to God that Rajesh and P. Gopi attained apprenticeships at a local shoe repair store
  • Sanctuary Home received 30 minutes of Question-and-Answer time on six Abilene radio stations

July 2008

  • A new expert sewing teacher for the boys and girls joined our team

June 2008

  • Ravi Teja was sponsored, and we began efforts to arrange for his eye surgery
  • We filled in the low-lying play area to make it safer and more sanitary for the children

May 2008

  • The Girls Club at Dallas Christian School donated all of their raised funds ($1,800) to Sanctuary Home. The money was set aside to finish leveling the play area and to purchase a ceiling and exhaust fan

Apr 2008

  • We expanded the board of directors to include five new members: Ruth Jackson, Emma Antilley, Grace Hall, Jana Beck, and Randy Uthe
  • We accepted four new children for sponsorship

Mar 2008

  • Vimalamma, an elderly woman who worked at Sanctuary Home, passed away. The children were deeply grieved.
  • FCRA number was granted to Isaac's "Truth Ministries" organization, giving it official legal charity status
  • Linda Egle, Sanctuary Home board member and founder of Eternal Threads, visited Tenali
  • We hired a sewing instructor at $65 per month

Feb 2008

  • The weakening value of the dollar negatively affected the funds able to be sent to Sanctuary Home

Jan 2008

  • Sanctuary Home issued uniforms, bed mats, sheets, and sports equipment to the children
  • We posted the 2007 contribution statements
