The Children

Some of the children shown on this site are without a sponsor, although all forty-eight currently live in Sanctuary Home. Previously, they lived on the streets. Those classified as orphans have no parents to care for them. Those classified as semi-orphans were also in a merciless situation: they have one living parent who has remarried, and according to their culture, they are not welcome in the new household. Some have a parent who can't care for them, and some have been abandoned. All of these children need to have their physical needs met, as well as their emotional needs and an education. If you would like to sponsor a child, please email us to find out which children need sponsors at this time. Update: All forty-eight children are sponsored. Once we complete the new SH building, we will need sponsors for an additional twenty children.

 Here is a boy by name Jevanbabu who is having a sister younger to him lost his parents in an accident while proceeding to a wedding service. They had a good reputation in the church. His father’s mother was looking after them for sometime.  But she too died out of heart stroke.  But father’s father who is alive not able to feed the two children they were thrown out of the house. The condition of them was so in generous, they used to beg door to door.  But what they got was in sufficient. The responsible persons in the church pittied on them and connected me while preaching the word of God.  I spoke to them personally as I was hurt by their living condition.  In this regard I urge your good self  prayerfully to see that your auspicious hands are involved to make them the best citizens of tomorrow with their prosperous future.

That was before...this is after...

Greetings! I wanted to tell you about our interview with Jevanbabu. First of all, we observed him interacting with the other children, and he seems happy and we didn't perceive any problems. He is one of the bigger boysm 12 years old and in the 6th class. His favorite subject in school is math. He likes to play cricket, khokho, and kabaddi. I asked him to tell me about himself, and he didn't say much, except, "No scarcity to anything here," and that his best friend is Nagababu. He asks for prayers for "best education". Jevanbabu is a quiet and calm boy, and although he played games with the others, he wasn't as outgoing as some. He's a good boy, with a kind nature. According to Isaac, he has an inferiority complex. Please pray about this for him.
