The Children
Some of the children shown on this site are without a sponsor, although all forty-eight currently live in Sanctuary Home. Previously, they lived on the streets. Those classified as orphans have no parents to care for them. Those classified as semi-orphans were also in a merciless situation: they have one living parent who has remarried, and according to their culture, they are not welcome in the new household. Some have a parent who can't care for them, and some have been abandoned. All of these children need to have their physical needs met, as well as their emotional needs and an education. If you would like to sponsor a child, please email us to find out which children need sponsors at this time. Update: All forty-eight children are sponsored. Once we complete the new SH building, we will need sponsors for an additional twenty children.
Nagavijay already has a sponsor.

Here is a boy by name Nagavijay his merciless story brought before your goodselves . His father was ferocious, possessed with all sorts of evil habits such as drinking licker, chain smoking, chewing the tobacco his mother died out of cancer. He was very rough. After some time his father pretended as if he was kind to him and brought him to tenali to the bustand by a bus from his native place and left him over there the above said story was narrated by this boy .After spending some time in the bustand in an unkind situation one lady who has been sweeper in the bustand took him one preacher to which church she attends that preacher contacted me whether I can find a means for him. In this regard my humble appeal all of your goodselves so that he may be found generosity through your sponsorship with which his life may be led with prosperous future.
That was before...this is after...
Greetings! I wanted to tell you about our interview with Nagavijay. First of all, we spent the week observing him play and interact with the other children, and he is a happy boy and we didn't perceive any problems. He is 9 years old, and in 2nd class. He's one of the smaller boys, outgoing and friendly. His favorite classes are English and math. His favorite games are caroms, cricket, and kabaddi. During the interviews, most of the children were bashful and tried hard to think of something to say, but Nagavijay spoke up well. He said that he is very grateful, and to tell the Istres that he's glad to be at SH, and that he can study very well. He wants you to visit him. He asked for prayers for his health and a good future. Rajanikanth also pointed out that he's very active and often has scrapes from playing. Thank you so much for your support of this adorable little boy; you're doing a great thing.
