The Children
Some of the children shown on this site are without a sponsor, although all forty-eight currently live in Sanctuary Home. Previously, they lived on the streets. Those classified as orphans have no parents to care for them. Those classified as semi-orphans were also in a merciless situation: they have one living parent who has remarried, and according to their culture, they are not welcome in the new household. Some have a parent who can't care for them, and some have been abandoned. All of these children need to have their physical needs met, as well as their emotional needs and an education. If you would like to sponsor a child, please email us to find out which children need sponsors at this time. Update: All forty-eight children are sponsored. Once we complete the new SH building, we will need sponsors for an additional twenty children.
Solman already has a sponsor. Solman's brother is Samson.
Child profile by P.Isaac, Tenali, India
We regret to inform the pathetic condition of this boy so that your good self may have an attention in his carrer. His father who was a late an adict of drugs and drinking. He borrowed money from so many people for that meanial cause and committed suicide emotionally. His mother was working in the fields earning but was not atall sufficient for this boy and his brother. Later she grew sick and bedridden. Condition of he and his brother became worst. They were roaming in the streets and urging for the food. They faired to get food. Later one of the elders of the church where they live in guided us to consider this two boys. We could get them over here in this particular regard may we whole heartedly request your good selves to see that this boy is sponsored to become better citizen in future.
That was before...this is after...
Greetings! I wanted to tell you about our interview with Solman. First of all, we spent the week observing him play and interact with the other children, and he is a happy boy and we didn't perceive any problems. He is 7 years old, not 9 as the original information said. He's one of the smaller boys, outgoing and friendly. His favorite class is math. His favorite games are cricket and running. During the interviews, most of the children were bashful and tried hard to think of something to say. Many of their answers were the same. However, Solman was one of the few who spoke up with no prompting when we asked him if there was anything he wanted to tell us (through a translator): "I would like to see action movies and Power Rangers!" He also said he is daily remembering his sponsors. He asked us to pray for his good health and good studies in school. Thank you so much for your support of this adorable little boy.
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27
