The Children
Some of the children shown on this site are without a sponsor, although all forty-eight currently live in Sanctuary Home. Previously, they lived on the streets. Those classified as orphans have no parents to care for them. Those classified as semi-orphans were also in a merciless situation: they have one living parent who has remarried, and according to their culture, they are not welcome in the new household. Some have a parent who can't care for them, and some have been abandoned. All of these children need to have their physical needs met, as well as their emotional needs and an education. If you would like to sponsor a child, please email us to find out which children need sponsors at this time. Update: All forty-eight children are sponsored. Once we complete the new SH building, we will need sponsors for an additional twenty children.
Pavankumar already has a sponsor. Pavankumar's brother is Sathishbabu.
Child profile by P.Isaac, Tenali, India
I am deeply moved to bring this story to your good selves. This Pavankumar with his brother currently on the roads. His father 5 years back left the village. The villagers said that he was suffering from stomach ache. They also expressed some sort of suspension that he might have committed suicide. Where about of him are not at all in light. But the mother of two children Could not take care of them. Now they are in merciless condition no food, no clothing. Through cleaning the dishes by going door to door whatever she earns is not sufficient to meet even their house rent condition of her is how so unkind. I contacted this family to one of the preachers. In this regard I reqest your good selves to make these two children’s future may be prosperous through your kind involvement of sponsorship.
That was before...this is after...
Greetings! Here is your report on Pavan. First of all, his name: in Telugu, V sounds like W, so his name is pronounced like Pah-wun. HE IS SO ADORABLE. He seems to be filled with enthusiasm for everything, and always has a big smile. He is little tiny, one of three little boys who are everyone's favorites. He is 8 years old (but seems much smaller than an American 8 year old) and in 3rd class. He is missing some of his baby teeth in the front, and it makes him even cuter. He also sings with great enthusiasm. His favorite subjects in school are Telugu and math. He likes to play Thief and Police, kabaddi, and cricket. His only comments about SH were "plenty of food" and "good medical care." Please pray that he will have a good future. On the last night, the children performed a nativity play, and Pavan played one of the sheep. He was precious.
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27
