August 2006 PHOTOS
In mid-August, the children finally received their new school uniforms. For about $5 each, a tailor measured the children and made the uniforms. The children shown receiving their new clothes individually are Bhavani (she's had her hair cut), Srilakshmi, and Nagababu. Srilakshmi is the girl shown in the Sanctuary Home logo. The children with white shirts and blue short pants are high school children, 6th to 10th class. The remaining children are in primary school, 1st to 5th class. The next five photos are of mealtime, including a close up of Devaraj and the food, biryani with chicken curry and some other curries. In the last of the mealtime photos, the children are posing while washing their plates. Isaac wrote, "They enjoyed lot and ate the food together and praised God."
These photos were sent on August 1st, exactly two months after Sanctuary Home opened it's doors. How wonderful to see so many children, especially their smiling faces!
