Apprenticeships
Three of the Sanctuary Home boys - young men - recently completed apprenticeships and were the first from Sanctuary Home to successfully complete the program. Their new trades are shoe making, carpentry, and net making/repair. Their sponsors and Sanctuary Home funded their months as apprentices and provided funds to purchase their tools, plus a financial gift to help them get started. In the photos, Isaac and the boys pose with their Bibles and the letters they have just written to their sponsors. At the same time, he presented them each with their new tools. Click on the middle photo to read the letter, written by Gopi to his sponsors and Sanctuary Home, thanking them for their support. The bottom photo shows Gopi with his starter net making tools. Each of these young men is now living independently, supporting himself, and doing well. They remain in contact with Isaac and the Sanctuary Home family. What great success stories!
